To a retired senior, it is to do whatever you feel like doing … from now on … for as long as you want. You have taken a very long vacation in life. This book, Lotsa Fun with Retirement, is to help you get away from the norm … the usual boring nonsense. This is an extension of the two books of the same theme: How to Have Fun, and More Fun … with Retirement.

This is an extension of the two books of the same theme: ‘How to Have Fun with Retirement’, and ‘More Fun with Retirement’, and the articles pick up the good times and fun we had there. By definition, fun is a time or feeling of enjoyment or amusement, and retirement is the status of a worker who has stopped working, sorta like a long well-earned vacation. These two definitions go in concert like coffee and doughnuts. In other and simpler terms, retirement must be like buying admission to an amusement park, or not paying the toll to travel on another freeway. The opposite of work has always been fun. Fun also goes by several aliases, such as enjoyment, pleasure, joy, entertainment, merriment, doing things, and it is absolutely the opposite of workplace monotony. It is the ultimate good time and ‘lotsa fun’ won’t hurt but may become addictive … and that’s a good thing. To a retired senior, it is to do whatever you feel like doing … from now on … for as long as you want. You have taken a very long vacation in life. This book is to help you get away from the norm … the usual boring things that drag you down. It isn’t a puzzle book or anything, but a collection of light-hearted and informative articles about subjects that you can read to break up the day and possibly improve it: Games and Brains; Weather or Not; Happy Days; I Can; and Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda, to name just a few.
