Look within your heart,
Listen deeply for the truth,
That resounds in your breast,
Beats at life's door for release,
You will hear from the depths,
The Echoes of the Caves.
Moon Stars
How far is the moon from the stars?
Scientifically it is a measure,
But for the mind - it cannot grasp,
The vastness escapes our abilities.
That is how far my heart has strayed,
From my soul that is now abandoned.
It tries to return to me occasionally,
Like the sea returns to sandy beaches.
Only to be swept again,
On the following tide leaving behind,
Remanants and treasures strewn,
and hidden in the sucking sands.
I call out to my heart like a child,
It has strayed afar and cannot seem,
To find its echoing presence.
Oh, empty is the place where,
Once was full with joy and promise,
Now dusty and ridden with cob webs,
Only darkness comes there now.
Every night I light candles,
Hoping to show my heart the way back,
Yet at dawn this place is still barren,
The chamber of my heart has no store.
Like the moon reashing for the stars,
It is beyond me to grasp it anymore,
So I let it go and resign myself,
To live in the gloomy setting of the sun.
Love Lied
Love lied yesterday,
Love lied today,
Promises, promises,
All gone away.
I tried yesterday,
I tried today,
Broken, broken,
Love gone to decay.
Agony -
The pain within my breast.
Loneliness -
How I feel at best.
Hopeless -
For love has failed the test.
Tired -
Endless nights sans rest.
Now I wait forever more,
For something to never come.
Asking myself whatever for ,
It will ever be the same.

A well spring of poetry. One that is perfect for gift giving to that special someone. Great reading. This person must have suffered a lot to have that much to put into her work. Insightful as to the different phases of matters of the heart. The sequel to Lamentations. Both are a must to read.
