The Review
Writer Schuler and Illustrator Scott call upon their years of experience within the public school system for material presented in Bully Brigade. Vocabulary used is easily understood by children. Illustrations are to the point and child friendly. The book will fit well in a classroom unit setting dealing with relationships in general and bullying in particular. The book is a good choice for pleasure reading as well as unit work, and will be one a mentor student can use with ease when working with younger students.

i was bullied as a child (and even now, as an adult); still live with the pain of memories, but i am a SURVIVOR! wonderful write about a problem that needs to be addressed and dealt with! sounds like a book i would find fascinating!
Bully Brigade is my first non-fiction children's book, first picture book, and the first I've written for classroom use. Students will find the clever illustrations by artist, Susan Scott, entertaining, and the questions throughout Bully Brigade stimulating. This book offers three learning goals: recognize bullying behavior, reasons why bullies may act the way they do, and how to stop them. Banish Bullies Now is the subtitle and the overall goal.
