* Make You Wet…*
All that energy released just right
Seemed to be dancing all night
Movements perfectly in sync
Didn’t even have time to think
All the liquids running in the same direction
Should cause a passionate erection
What to do but follow along
Moving to the beat of a romantic song
The one in my head that’s slow and sweet
It expresses my love with every beat
Going for hours in many ways
Surprises come to mind as he still lay
To please completely and go all out
Maybe even cause a silent shout
Clenching and moaning I start going down
Licking and sucking without a sound
Come to your belly and tease a bit
Making you do nothing but actually sit
Nibbling your sides with my teeth here and there
Just enough pressure that you can possibly bear
Work my way down, I’m teasing again
Making it all seem such a sin
I’ve unbuttoned your pants, looking you in the eye
Glancing here and there to see if you’re shy
You’re breathing deeply, my body now yearns
To give all my love you’ve so rightfully earned
Clenching again and tipping your head back
You’ve definitely showed you’re getting the knack
I love you so dearly I kiss again
Unzipping so slowly while licking your skin
My tongue so wet begins travel
Oh, so slowly the night can unravel
My hands start wandering, but where to go now
You harden at my touch, you wonder how
Now you know there’s nothing left to prove
You made me a bet I couldn’t make you wet
Well, baby, you’re up and I haven’t touched it yet
* Suspicion of Passion *
Perspiration condenses the situation
of which the love created
knows only its final turn.
Emotions flying and bodies
colliding shows only what lovers
would prove to be ecstasy confused.
Erotic situation, all infatuation,
to only realize your mind needs a rest.
Your heart is finally at its
best which seems to be only so pathetic.
To give in to such a feat of no
explanation I have only one reason.
The reason our findings have only begun,
the reason our lives have to show no one,
and the reason my heart
wants no one, but needs you.
Your reaction has no understanding
to its fault of companionship
and your way of handling is only subtle.
I see only your hidden
desires of passion for me.
Not the so-called truth this happening proves.
I see only what my blinding
thoughts and conquering dreams propose.
For my attempt at happiness
begins with my thoughts of you.
Our wandering storm of emotions
collects hope and leaves reality
for those who wish to see it.
Our wants and needs seem to be different
when they should come together as one.
They seem to drift in circles of
denial that only spin to one’s
half-decent plan of honesty.
I jump to stop all that has thrown
itself toward our ways and us.
I jump to prove you are
more than a trick of fate.
I shout to let you know that
what I’m feeling is really a brief
light of suspicion toward my
passion and desire for you.
Our making love only evokes
dwindling and winding words of the unspoken.
I only hope yours does, too.
I only wait to see if your consciousness
will let you see your true love for me.
So that this happening, this wake
of a content moment, is for life to breathe.
* I’m Finally Dead *
Dark and deep my feelings may creep
Into a hole of sin where my has life has been
Worthless wonder my world may crumble
Or so it seems, being ripped at the seams
My nails scrape down walls of shame
The blood runs as thirst begins
Do I crave such a feeling of wrong?
To watch their eyes cry my dying song
Love no longer is found within my days
Hope no longer strides upon its way
The cuts no longer hurt and my mind won’t think
I’m doing things I can’t control
My actions have confidence stained
With all the bruises my mind shuts down
All the voices tell me what to do
Nobody understands how much I want to
It’s not denial, it’s not fear
It’s the others warning me that you’re here
I’m told to scream and let it out
So the pain and suffering can finally come out
That’s not it, I’m telling you it’s true
Everything I’ve done is because of you
Something’s wrong, it has to be
They don’t believe it wasn’t me
OK, I’m crazy, whatever the excuse
You never know he may see you lose
Watch out, please, if they see you run
For the blood has been shed
The day is no longer fun
The voices, they tell me the deed is done
What they scream makes only some sense
That’s not what matters for they rule my head
There, I admit it, I’m finally dead
* A Cut and a Strangle *
Between a cut and a strangle
A scream and a dangle
Their hair being pulled
The blood being showed
The fear in their eyes
My legs between their thighs
The knife on their skin
No regret or wonder of sin
They scream and try to kick
With restraint I start to lick
From eyes to mouth, neck and chin
The victim, of course, has to be thin
When they shake and quiver of all that fear
I let them realize death is finally here
With pain and suffering it has to be
No one realizes it’s truly me
Giving me strength and reason for smiles
I’ve been killing for miles and miles
Never been caught a day in my life
Somehow had the heart to start with my wife
I watched her cry and scream within
The fear overcame her and crept within
I hate to say what happened next
I slit her throat and read the text
A love letter wrote by her lover to her
Where to meet and his love for sure
The look in her eyes, the pulse in her wrist
Her eyes stopped crying, she unclenched her fist
No longer trying to breathe, no longer had to care
Whether or not she was going to be there
I had no fear or anger left now
Of the night I killed her or cared how
I’ve moved on now and killed others since
Never been caught, always remembered to rinse
The joy it brings of power and control
I can’t help but admit they’re slow
Someday maybe they’ll catch me when
I slip up and show my grin

Voices Silently Speak
Lena Rai’s life is revealed within each page of this book of poetry—the journey from
confusion and denial to an acceptance of self that can only be envied. Additionally, she
acknowledges that living tormented in the shadows leaves the opinions of others
unchanged. With courage, she recognizes that the only opinion that matters, the only
opinion she has any real control over, is her own. The choice then is simple — be at
peace or remain in the troubled past.
Although separated into four parts, reading the book sequentially engages the reader’s
involvement with the amazing and therapeutic spiritual journey Ms Rai has been on for
some time.
The progression from ‘Love, Erotica, Personal’ to ‘Dark, Sad, Angst’ to ‘Children,
Society, Hope’ to ‘Other, Abuse, Beat’—even to the final biographical piece entitled
‘Maginkwa’—peals away the layers of Ms Rai’s hauntingly passionate life. She is
revealed as a woman justifiably proud of taking the harsher realities of life and finding
her own truth to live by.
Ms Rai’s use of the poetic medium to show this journey is simply brilliant. The depth of
pain is at times starkly revealed, but always the author’s attempts to move beyond that
shine through. Even those who do not usually enjoy poetry’s seemingly veiled meaning
will find this book well worth the exploration. Its beauty is in more than Ms Rai’s spiritual
journey — it is also in the reader being prompted without preaching to take a closer look
at the way in which life is lived, choices are made, long after the book closes. I am left
without adequate words to express my admiration for such courage and inspiration. I
would highly recommend this book to others.
