life for some is less desirable, and bring their own interpretations to the stories and poems,
in the hope that it will open the door to healing and the realization that no one is
ever really alone.

"Like it states on the title page, this is a collection of poems,
short stories, and slices of life. Both authors offer a selection of
prose and poems in the three sections of the manuscript. The
collaboration of both authors seems to work quite nicely, each
offering their own distinctive voice and presenting readers with an
underlined message of hope. The poetry and prose is full of life's
trials and tribulations, its struggles, laughter, tears, and most
importantly, its spirit to push on. Whether it's the daughter that
escapes abuse at home and returns to help before anyone else
gets hurt in "The Secret Diary" or the "Guardian's" good deeds,
the book's heart felt messages shine...
...the tone and writing style is clear and precise. Both authors'
have their own style-playing with form, meter and rhyme. In
addition, both use metaphors creatively in their work. Many poets
are stuck in one genre or form and this collection and its variety
