Why Only Words marks my third collection of poetry. My first published collection of poetry created ‘Changes In Me’ which then was followed up by ‘My Words And Thoughts’. With ‘Why Only Words’ it tests the boundaries of poetry through the struggles of family, the devotion of love, words of commitment, understanding of anger, reasons of life and the embrace of desire. a shade of blue/
a world you arrest
makes sense why i’m here
pictures capture a smile i haven’t forgotten
words are written, though you say them with ease
intentions recovered only matter
lovers left aside tell the tale
when away your image reminds
saving a story to compel
rehearsing mirrors my dedication
i left one day
to realize you’re the one
that light covered darkness i wanted to receive
with your eyes that i once feared
now, could never imagine looking at another blue
