Wobbly Witch & Kiki, Kiki goes missing; is about a Witch and her dear friend Kiki who helped her with her spells. Although her spells were good ones, she had to put up with the local warlock who did nothing except cast bad spells. She and her friend Clumsy Kate went off to find Kiki when he ran away. He did this because the warlock – Murky Mud, wanted to capture Kiki for himself. Murky Mud lived in a steamy swamp and was not the nicest of people. So Kiki ran away. Hiding deep in the forest he was lost to everyone, all that is, except the yellow toad. The only way Wobbly Witch could save him was to win a game of scrabble, and she couldn’t even spell.

Wobbly Witch and Clumsy Kate met many friends old and new in their search for the cat. Full of fun and adventure Wobbly Witch & Kiki is a book written for the young and old, and told in an old fashioned way.

Wobbly Witch sat in her rocking chair talking to her cat Kiki.  She was called Wobbly Witch because she wobbled everywhere she went, but she never fell down.  She was round and had grey hair with a hairnet firmly placed on it.   She nearly always wore her pointy hat everywhere, even in doors.  Her black stockings only just showed when she began to wobble; her green and black printed dress did nothing to hide her enormous size.   Kiki her car looked like an ancient Egyptian, with large point ears and stripes of all colours all over him.  Kiki purred as Wobbly Witch talked to him.

‘It’s time we had a holiday Kiki.’ She said, ‘but we haven’t any money.’  She rocked some more whilst she thought about it, Kiki had curled up into a ball on her lap and was purring loudly, very contented.   She stopped rocking so suddenly as the idea struck her that Kiki shot off her lap and landed in a heap on the floor the other side of the room.

‘Meeow!’ growled Kiki as he got up; shaking himself gingerly he asked ‘What did you do that for?’

‘Sorry Kiki, did I hurt you? Sorry!’ but her mind was already working on her idea and she dismissed Kiki’s mishap.

‘We shall go and see Murky Mud and ask for some money.’ She nodded her head so violently her black hairnet which was covering her wispy grey hair, nearly fell off her head.

‘Meoow, are you sure?’ asked Kiki.

‘Oh yes. Murky Mud, he’ll help.’

‘Meoow, but he’s not very nice.’ Said Kiki looking worried.

‘But he’ll help, I’m sure of that.’ That was that, Wobbly Witch had made up her mind.  Although she was scared of him there was no option but to go and see him.

Excerpt

The yellow toad sat under the fudge cake tree considering the day. His large green eyes gazed out towards the forest. His expression was a little puzzled today as he thought about Kiki. What on earth was that cat up to now? ‘Rivet, rivet,’ he croaked. No one answered; all was quiet in the forest today. He sat still so that the dragon fly didn’t notice him and flew too close. Out popped his tongue like a whiplash. Savouring his dinner he smiled ‘rivet, rivet’ he muttered.
The fudge cake tree trembled in the slight breeze that blew through the branches, small pieces of chocolate landed near him. He didn’t like chocolate much but he watched closely as the leaves rustled on the ground toward the chocolate. Out popped a small velvety head and small blind eyes squinted up at him. ‘Hi yellow toad. How’s today then?’ Said the mole. His large hands brushing the dirt away from his face.
