Originally the popular Butch Books published by Alyson, Gangi has revised and renamed the story of a woman's journey to love. The follow-up to Two Spirit and Two Spirit II is Souls of the Fire, and to some extent, the story continues in ILYR.

Wow! The Butch Books Revived!
I read Butch and Butch II by Jay Rayn a decade ago, two books that swept the gay and lesbian bookstores both here and abroad. I even got the poster, a classic item now used as the cover for this revised and wonderful story. SOme may be confused at first because the main character is named Mike, but careful research with the author finds she chose the name because of her friendship with Michael Landon who told her to "write, and write now." So Michaelene Landetti was born and we follow her, love her, sometimes want to just protect her as she looks for the woman, the one woman, she was meant to find.
Insight into gays in the military, the Women's Studies years of the seventies, corporate lives for lesbians, and even the politics of a Coup are all here ina page-turning, cutting edge classic that I couldn't put down. I went right to Two Spirit II and wasn't disappointed as Mike's story continued. I'm hoping for more and can't wait to meet the author when she tours California this Fall and in january
