Brian R. Hill’s The Mastig is a journey well worth taking. The characters are well rounded; the scenery is breath-taking and the reader is quickly absorbed into the story. I have read the author’s previous two novels (The Shintae and Shadows from a Time Long Past) and found The Mastig to be another great read by Brian R. Hill. I highly recommend this novel.
