However, it was not one of those watered-down Futures, where society traded in its violence, guns, and curse words for kimonos, Brady Bunch attitudes, and fast food cuisine. It was also not one of those post-apocalyptic Futures, where it is more the Past than the Future, and people ride horses, live in cabins, and have trouble with simple mail delivery. No, no, this Future was right in the middle of the two extremes (where good Futures should be). The Past had past, and the Present had taken its place. The Future was the Present; it was the Now.
