a Football Presentation for childrens efforts and achievments in the area of Sport
When do they learn that to hit them hard at such a young age, is not going to do anything for their future. They need rewards, not for failing in the eyes of the promoters, but in the eyes of life, we owe it to them for showing us commitment and dedication, whatever their standard of expertise. I took my boy to a football presentation yesterday 3 - 5, he's not the best in the club, good in goals, not so good in the field, but he does his best, along with all the other boys and girls who participate in the game. Upon talking to one parent, she pointed out, as what i had thought, that a little something would have done a bit to soften the crushing blow of not receiving anything at all, for the levels of attainment, in a sport for all. We were all stood there clapping and cheering on the award winners, for Most Improved Player and Player Of The Year, but nothing for the kids that try hard and keep trying, but find it hard, surely society should realize that to reward a child means that, that a child will grow to expect something in return for their hard work, rather than being discarded and thrown by the wheyside, like an old toy, and maybe to become a down and out in the future. We want the best for our 'Children' and if a jolt from some of the opposing few is what it takes, then so be it. "Why couldn't they have given a runner up prise, for the time and dedication that they put in, like a bar of football chocolate to soften the crunch
and let them sleep with peaceful dreams and no 'nightmares'.

Our Children went to a Presentation today
Football for all, we clapped them all the way
Our hands were hurting, after such an applause
Kids and parents bursting out through the doors
Cups for this, cups for that
Cups for the ones who were even sat,
in front of the stage with influencial designs
Promoters watch games with such skillful lines
My boy and others didn't get a surprise
Because of those careful watching eyes
Who note down skills and twists and turns
Watch that pass with pasion, so proud
In the back of the net, toffees noses cheer loud
They could have given youngsters chocolate
With the very thing, they kick, on the wrapper
To give those eyes a shine of delight
To sleep peaceful at night, teeth wouldn't chatter
Take away the demons of terror and destruction
That cause them to flow with stuttering confusion
Give them a sense of loyalty with style
Award them for this, with big beaming smiles
Last year he had a 'plaque' and he was as proud as ever
He's our son, we don't care how well he kicks, he's clever
As long as we know, he gives it is all
