We Meet Again
Her complexion untainted
Somehow finger-painted
Upon my imagination
Of her
Rarely does this occur
Of what one dreams of
When our paths crossed
Knew it was from above
She walked by in all her grace
Instant smile upon my face
So beautiful
Yet so strong
With me is where she belonged
Trying hard not to look
But I caught her glance
Souls did a melodic dance
I ran for the elevator
Sensing that something
Much greater
Was about to escape my life
Possibly my future wife
She was going to the 13th floor
And I’m not superstitious
Looking at those legs
Damn she was delicious
I’m not a man to chase a woman
But she was much more than that
So I introduce myself
Better than the average cat
Had we met before
And I let her get away
Not this time
Not this day
We arrived at our destination
Which was not really mine
Maybe God’s hand
Created this design
We exchanged numbers
Soon to meet again
In time as lovers
Forever as friends
