Sugar and Sin by Stella and Audra Price is not your typical romantic story of heroes and heroines falling in love, sure they have that but there is so much more to experience. These characters don’t play the normal romantic fools and their world is not an “A” typical world. These people are paranormals mainly demons and they will do whatever they have to do to get the job done. I’m not usually a fan of demons and badass characters but these ones just kept me enthralled in their spell. I loved them all, all had one thing in common, what’s in it for me but a majority of them also where thinking what can I do to make my friends and loved ones happy. Fallon and Astrid, along with all their friends left me feeling like I’d spent time watching a movie I couldn’t help but watch, and I know that when I came to the last page I was hanging for the next installment of this series. As authors Stella and Audra Price have written a fabulous beginning to their Eververse series. Their characters tempt, tease and enthrall, and if that doesn’t work they’ll just kidnap you and take you along for the ride anyway. I can’t wait for to read what else will happen in the rest of this series because you know it will only get better and better.

I was captured by this new world almost immediately by all the characters and how they intertwined together. While Astrid and Fallon have not quite yet achieved their eternal happy ever after, they are well on their way and I bet by the end they will overcome and grab it. I found that the various types of creatures/characters that appeared in the Eververse all grabbed my attention and made the plotline even that much more intriguing. I will freely admit that I am rapidly becoming an Eververse junkie and will be watching for the next book in the series.

SUGAR AND SIN is the first book in the Price's Eververse series and that is terrific, as it will take a few more stories to finish off all the plot threads that are introduced in this first book. It is loosely connected to Wishes (2006) and Fire In His Eyes (2007) as it happens in the same general world but at a different point in time. SUGAR AND SIN is a moderately-paced tale with action, adventure and romance. It is rich with wonderful characters and a plot that is simple on the surface but enhanced by numerous subplots that I am sure will be utilized in further stories. The Price's have created a lush, complex world with a believable mythos that you will want to explore again and again. The romance between Fallon and Astrid takes center stage in this installment, but we also see the beginnings of Feyd and Ashlyn's romance. The sex scenes are raw, earthy and contain multiple sex partners, unusual places, light bondage and mild exhibitionism. I will be eagerly awaiting the next installment in the Eververse series so that I can explore this world and the characters in greater depth. SUGAR AND SIN might have ended, but the story has not.
