After a few minutes of digging, Ashley and Josh struggled to lift the rose bush from the dirt and put it on the lawn.
Ashley looked into the hole on the lawn, pointed and said, "What's that?"
Gram and Josh came beside her and peered into the hole.
Josh reached his hand down into the hole and pulled up a dirt-covered bag. He shook it to remove some of the dirt. They could see that it was a dark red velvet bag with a drawstring. As Josh shook it, they could all hear rattling inside the bag.
He opened the bag, looked inside and then poured something into Gram's hands. They all gasped when they saw the sparkle of jewels in the sunlight.
