Being a mortician, I had certainly seen a multitude of human remains. They arrived in my enblaming room in all kinds of conditions. I was not afraid of the dead but I didn't relish the thought of digging one up in the black of night surrounded by death. I especially dreaded exhuming a corpse who was screaming from her grave at the top of her lungs. I was experienced and brave but I was human and fear girpped my heart at just the thought of what I must do. I had never visited the cemetery after dark. All my cemetery services for bereaved families were done in the light of day. I would do what I had to do but I was pragmatic enough to know it would be no fun.

Congratulations on publishing this collection. I know your fans will grab it up. Since normal Halloween festivities are being discouraged in favor of stay-at-home activities, in your promotion you might suggest having someone with a good voice read from your stories at family get-togethers on Halloween night before a fire, preferably outdoors, but a fireplace will do.
