Nine O'Clock
The world’s contemporary poetry has recently been enriched, with a new work, titled “Chapter from the Poetry Bible” written by Munir Meyzed. The book, released in English, Arabic and Romanian, tries to capture the essence of good cohabitation, regardless of people’s religion or origins. The message of the work is that, beyond membership to a specific linguistic, cultural or geographical community, people should be governed by the same principles that define their species, namely tolerance, respect and love. The author writing his poems in three languages is not a coincidence, but an attempt at making his message universal and easier to grasp. At a time when the religious is often used as a political tool, in one way or another, leading to disunion most of the times, Munir Meyzed understands that the writer’s mission is to ease out tensions and disagreements and to present religious realities in its unifying perspective

Munir Mezyed is an Arab who thinks and writes as a universal citizen, who preserves in his heart his people’s traditions but who also approaches a thematic area with a universal value, referring to events that have marked the entire mankind and who thus tries to create bridges allowing for a better understanding of the Other... In his poetry one can often read metaphors, ideas that are related to the Chinese, Japanese or western world, along with the ones that characterize the Arab world. It is the approach and the path towards the universality chosen by the poet. At the same time, he deals with the traditions of the Arab world in his own personal way, not only by referring to events or proper names in a sometimes "prophetic tone" but also by some stylistic combinations that confer a peculiar euphony to his verses.
