The Dueling Dinosaurs of Montana
66 million years ago,
if the facts are right,
a T.Rex and a Triceratops
had a massive fight.
They roared.
They R - O - A - R - E - D!
They tussled
and they gnawed –
With fearsome tusks Triceratops gored, gored, gored,
and T-Rex, not to be outdone, clawed, clawed, clawed!
When T Rex bit Triceratops,
he never said he was sorry.
Continuing their mammoth fight
both fell into a quarry.
There they died – side by side –
broken tusks and bleeding hide.
Dino hunter, Clayton Phipps,
found them there in 2006.
For ever and ever entombed in stone
dark bone still entwines dark bone.
