they don’t understand these words that stir our souls
that churned out our life at birth and will welcome death when we are old
these words that lift the wings of eagles and gave the visions of planes that fly
the word that spoke the word and gave beauty to the world of mountains high
oh! These words that fall upon paper like drunken leaves dancing from trees
then colliding with the concrete in a joyful heap
full of jubilation and pain and thankfulness just to be a part of creation
these all mighty words that propel the pen again and again
to spill the words of prophets upon naked paper
covering the sins of the world with these rantings
the words that reared romantics in the science of love and making love
and taking love to a level the world will never comprehend
these words of poets that fill in the holes when philosophers
admitted they did not know it
words that sat old geniuses in corners crowned with dunce hats
contemplating what weakness held them back
from knowing the divine power of the poet
the power that shatters sunbeams into tiny emotional dreams
stirred into the crimson blood of every mortal heart
controlling every human being’s action
like a puppet master dictating life’s stage show from ending to start
for every bewildered soul who remain stupefied by life
and could not fill their empty heads with logical meanings and theories emotionally dead and admitted that they were lost
the seeds of knowledge, they could not sew it
