Trinidad's Law is a historical western novel. The main character got his name as the result of sneaking into his father's hard cider as a child. His parents died and it was his time to see the world. And that’s when the story really starts. Applejack packs the few possessions that he needs and saddles his horse Bucky. He heads for Trinidad, Colorado to look for work. Along the way he encounter some serious conflicts and adventures. But as we all know, adventure comes with a price and you don’t always know what you’re getting into. That’s what happens with Applejack. At Trinidad he is hired to be a deputy by Marshal Bat Masterson. At times because of some of the painful duties he must perform as a lawman, Jack regrets leaving his parent's ranch. Despite his inner conflicts the young deputy remains persistent and strong. He does that with the help of Marshal Masterson, a Catholic priest, a fellow deputy, and a beautiful Spanish girl. The book is a great adventure with lots of twists and turns---the reader learns a lot of Old West history on the trip. I enjoyed this book and give it five stars.

Jack Martin got his name Applejack when he was 7 years old after getting into his father's hard cider. When his parents died, the young man wanted a better life. He took the family's two horses and escaped the hard scrabble ranch that promised only constant work and drudgery. That life was what killed his parents at an early age and Applejack wanted no part of it. Wondering what was out there for him, Jack set out on a journey to Trinidad, Colorado.
I really enjoyed this book. I could literally picture everything as I read the exciting descriptive passages. In this exciting novel we see Applejack being beaten up at a cantina, meeting an outlaw and learning to shoot, seeking revenge for being bullied and injured, becoming a lawman with Marshal Bat Masterson, befriending a priest, and falling in love with a beautiful Spanish girl, I loved how this entertaining story was told. This is a fascinating and great book.
If you like unique stories, I really recommend it. It is immensely interesting and hard to put down. I give it five stars!.
