Jacob Alexander Pelchaire did. He was young, full of rage, fear and a victim of “the troubles” in Northern Ireland. On the surface he was just like his peers but beneath the surface he fought a dangerous secret. Jake was spiritually gifted and yet harbored a profoundly painful resentment towards it because of his mixed religious background. The same background that eventually caused his parents to be murdered.
In one brief moment of blind rage Jake crossed the line from troubled teen to murderer. Lucky enough to escape N. Ireland, his crime undiscovered, years later Jake found himself being given a chance to make up for what he’d done. Though as it turned out, not from the divine source he’d once thought he’d prayed to. All he would have to do was play an evil creature’s game.
Jake’s god had not abandoned him though and to his aid God sent an unlikely pair. Alex, an old man, with an awesome secret and Daniel his Indian guide, who was doing penance for his own past transgressions. They must help Jake see the truth before the game has ended and the evil creature takes it’s prize.
