A serial killer obsessed with young women in their early thirties named Jill Walker has had New England holding its collective breath for two years. After a four-year killing spree, the killer dropped out of sight and for the past two years, the FBI investigator heading the Jill Task Force has had his fingers crossed that they had heard the last of the killer – NOT! The killer has reappeared and Jill Walkers are dropping like flies.

While investigating the newest Jill murder – number 6 -- in Tennessee, he finally convinces his superiors that all of the Jill Walkers in the area simply must be told of the danger so they can go into hiding. Going over the case file early the next morning, the sound of the “Today” show being broadcast from Seattle, finally breaks through his concentration when he hears the name, Jill Walker. He glances up at the TV and is stunned to his core. Looking back at him is the beautiful nanny he had been so smitten with twelve years ago in Connecticut. And her name is JILL WALKER!

The intricacies of the plot of Jill-9 leave the reader sure at ever turn of the page, they have figured out who the killer is – but wait – here comes another twist and you’re back at square one.

Ms. Tynan’s obvious familiarity with both the New England area and the far Northwest puts the reader right in the picture. I highly recommend Jill-9 and this first offering from her.

The past is prologue so they say and it couldn't be more true than in the case of Elias, Ian and Jill. A few short summer days, an accident, and what brought Jill into the world of Elias and Ian took her away.

Ian Hamlin grew up to be a tough FBI agent, Jill became a meteorologist and Elias a spoiled rich man. Ian and Elias lost their friendship after reaching adulthood to become bitter enemies while Jill put them out of her mind.

That is, except for Ian. Her memory of a boy could still stir her senses as a woman. Because of him, she never found any man she wanted to stay with. Until Elias came back into her life and she thought maybe he could be the 'one'.

But fate played with their lives again. Eight dead women with the same name as Jill, brought Ian back into her life as an investigator intent on protecting her and catching a serial killer. And Jill was back to square one romantically.

Talented J. D. Tynan has a surprise in store for the reader as the story unwinds and the plot thickens. Like a magician, who has you looking at one hand while another pulls a coin from your ear, she points your focus on a possible killer, but lurking in the background is a shadow that moves into the foreground as the story moves along.

Recommended for any fan of suspense or romance. A well told tale with interesting characters who move the plot along. Enjoy. I sure did.

Jill Wallokowski was the first female meteorologist ever hired at Vancouver, Washington’s Channel 12 news station. She thought Wallokowski was a bit too much of a mouthful and changed her on-air name to Jill Walker. Unfortunately, it was a bad time to be named Jill Walker. Someone was traveling across the country and killing women with that name. There had been eight deaths already and the pretty meteorologist was targeted as number nine.

Ian Hamlin is the FBI agent charged with protecting Jill 9 and capturing the serial killer. Formulating a risky plan, he sets Jill 9 up as the unwitting bait in the trap to catch the killer. Complicating matters is the mutual attraction between Jill and Ian, as well as her relationship with Elias Webber, a rich, handsome man who wants nothing more than to take Jill away where he can keep her safe and make her his own.

A well-written book with crisp dialogue, it makes for a fast read.
