This is my autobiography about the struggles I have experienced throughout my life and how I kept pressing onward to reach my goals.
Opening her fourth letter, Megan cried out, "Not another bill! I can't handle this!" As she burst out crying, the phone rang. It was her best friend, Christy.
"Megan, what's wrong?"
"I've lost my job, and I have all these bills to pay. Everything is going wrong. I need some money."
"Bob and I have had some trouble, too. I know how you feel. We’ve been trusting God to help us."
"He can't help me. I don't think anybody can. All of my life, I’ve had failure after failure. I want to be free from all of my frustrations."
"You’ll always have trials."
"I'm going to move to another state and leave all my struggles behind."
"Running away doesn't solve anything."
"I've got to get away from here," Megan insisted, as she shed tears.
In this passage, Megan kept getting bill after bill. She became upset because she didn’t have enough money to meet her financial obligations. As a result, she wanted to escape. The only thing she thought of was to run away to another state. She thought things might be better somewhere else. However, she didn't realize that wherever she lived, she would always have trials. She couldn't escape her. Christy tried to help her, but Megan would not listen. She insisted on running away and leaving her trials behind.
Excerpt
Have you ever felt like Megan? Have you wanted to give up and leave everything behind? When the trials in your life seemed to get too difficult to handle, you probably wanted to escape like Megan. Nobody likes to have unpleasant circumstances in their lives. However, everybody has to go through some kind of trials no matter where you live. Instead of giving you, you have to learn how to cope with them. That is a difficult thing to do when you are in the midst of a trial.
