As they're walking down the street the day after Christmas they see people already throwing out their trees and decorations. They are terribly dishearted until they decide to gather up some of the discarded decorations and throw their own after-Christmas party. Little do they know that while they are celebrating the Fairies of Christmas Spirit, who sleep inside the ornaments, are waking up and watching them. When they discover each other, it is only the beginning of a fun and often dangerous adventure as the children are asked to come back to the Fairies' magical land in order to protect them against the evil Elves of Christmas Greed. Its wings of shiny red glass were wrapped around its body. Its tiny feet, in red ballet slippers, were gracefully pointed but a little pigeon-toed. "These Fairies come out to play when people start to think about Christmas, and they make people have Christmas spirit. And when we put our ornaments away for the year, all the Christmas spirit goes away. "They don't go away," Kit said. "They just go to sleep like that one." Kit pointed at the bulb in Savannah's hand. "We should wake them up."
