Susan arrived fourteen months after Katie, followed by Kala ten months later. Tess was born five years and seven months after Kala. Broken Vessels, Tribute to a Family is a clear, concise, honest account of the author Bernice Camp’s life. The author starts with her childhood including her parents and sisters to show each individual’s choices in life with the impact it had on the family. This family had a legacy of strong bonds of love and protection among the mother and her girls. Yet, it was clouded by a powerful grip of the bad legacy of alcoholism and spousal abuse exhibited by her father. The alcoholism destroyed the family as well as robbed the sisters of their childhood. There was a memory the author had that I liked which was rare but still yet endearing to read. When this family went to the drive-in movie and their mom brought them corn on the cob with butter from home, and girls laughed as the butter ran down their chins.
The author Bernice Camp has a very talented and refreshing way of communicating with an easy laid back style yet understandable. I think it is a hard thing to try to share or communicate one’s faith in God to where it is believable in our day and time. She accomplishes it beautifully, with honesty, and in such a caring way it shows so much compassion to the reader without offense. After I read Broken Vessels, Tribute to a Family I felt like I had been given a gift to have a window’s view of this very special family. Who through there faith in God they not only just survived but stuck together as tightly as to blossom as an amazing bouquet for us to see. This is a 5*****+ event and so worth reading no matter what age you are!!

Broken Vessels: Tribute to a Family, written by Author Bernice Camp is an excellent read. I rate it five stars. It’s indeed a well-crafted and very well written novel. The author’s writing style is very self- disciplined and narration is quite remarkable. A true delight and a must read.
It’s a wonderful book, to add to your library as it’s absolutely compelling, captivating, astounding and riveting. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, and am assured that everyone else too will agree with me when they will read this entertaining book .I congratulate the author for doing such a wonderful and outstanding job. Well done and keep it up!
Bernice, in this book has opened her heart and soul to the audience and the experiences she went through in life along with her family. She speaks clearly and openly through her words. Her love for family, friends, and those who hurt is whom Bernice touches.
She writes about love, marriage and children, grandchildren, friendships, growing older, surviving disappointments, passion, life, divorce, death. Bernice has spoken to all in this book in a meaningful and uplifting manner.
This book is meant for people, who are weak from the inside as well as from the outside. So, if you really desire to be strong from inside, I strongly recommend that you must read, “BROKEN VESSELS: Tribute to a Family.”

Broken Vessels-Tribute to a Family
BROKEN VESSELS-Tribute to a Family, is a very emotional and heart rendering story written by Author, Bernice Camp.
In this tribute to a Mother and five sisters by the heroine of the book, Megan, who, tells about their life as children and the horrors of living with an alcoholic and abusive father.
Their mother was without work or money. Where could she go? There was no one to help. She had to stay to keep the children together. No way was she going to let her children be separated, put in foster homes, maybe never to see each other again. So, she stayed and took the abuse. As spunky Megan got a little older, she and her sisters found little ways to protect their mother from Jim’s drunken abuse.
However, like most children reared in such an environment, Megan and her sisters carried emotional scars that negatively affected their life. They dropped out of school, married at very early ages, which resulted in multiple marriages.
Sadly, one of the sisters, Katie, followed her father’s footsteps and like her father was unable to control the demon drink. All this hurt and turmoil brought tragic repercussions for Katie. Yet through it all was the need to be a family, to make it whole. How could this happen, after all they had been through? Was there a way to get past all the hurt, depression and inner anger?
How does Meagan come to terms with it all? Could it be that a little miracle of spilled coffee and a Bible bring it all together for her? You will have to read this wonderful book to find out. I applaud Author Bernice Camp for a well-written and inspirational book. I give it 5 stars, my highest rating.
