I can’t be your acclaimed writer
Right now
I haven’t got any time for it

excerpt from Pessimism
The choices I made
in passing moments
The secrets I kept
impressed me with the tiniest of dents.
The aluminum foil,
the fabric of my self laid bare
excerpt from Aluminum Foil
What shall I say
The genius comes on
But what shall it say
I want it to explode
A thousand fragments
Littering the page
To let them know
That I think harder now
excerpt from Insanity, if you please
Diya Das' method of writing poetry has never been completely organized; she has written in several notebooks at once, on post-it notes and at the computer.
Although, she initially considered a journal format for this anthology, she instead groups this collection into nine sections arranged by topic. The poems in each section are in chronological order. The collection is essentially a poem journal of the past six years of her life.
It's 1969 and some high school students in a small town decide to oppose a war that makes no sense and promises to set their lives on a different path against their wishes.
Khenlee has reached 12 Cycles of Seasons and will find which working circle she will now belong to. She is shocked to find out what the gods have decided what her life work will be.
