Rico froze. That f**king letter. No. It was not a good time. Damn it to hell. The stumbling block in an otherwise happy relationship. Paul had begun to nag him about this letter. Open the letter. Open the letter. NO, he didn't want to open the f**king letter. He could see who it was from. He knew the solicitor's stamp, the postmark. He didn't need a reminder. Not now, when life was moving on so positively.

Definitely worth the wait!
A very well crafted and written second book. The story builds on the lives and loves of the characters we met in the first book. From the writing, you get the feeling the author has either been through or has supported someone through some dark times. It is an engaging ride, that takes you along on the characters journey, with plenty of twists and turns along the way. I won't give away the wonderful ending, other that to say you won't be sorry you bought this book!

Enjoyable
I wasn't quite sold on the first book in this series but I actually really enjoyed Rico and Paul's story.
These characters, whom we met in the first book, are much realer and more likeable than the main characters from book 1, so I warmed to their story far more. It was also slightly more realistic and believable, although some of the equine content is still a little iffy I parts, like the 6 year old in a big class with a 1.60 fence...
Overall worth a read, especially as it's on KU, and although it helps, I don't think you necessarily need to read the first book to enjoy this one.
