My main objective was money, fast talkin dudes, and getting over, or so I thought. A fairytale childhood was only seen on television. I became the parent a long time ago when the track marks in my mother’s arms became evident to the entire neighborhood. Barbie dolls were a myth to me, thought you knew my hustle was survival. I originated in West Oakland, Ghost town to be exact. My father was the biggest hustler on that side. Lawrence King better know as “Chameleon” to everyone in the hood. He never got his hands dirty or as he used to tell me, daddy’s hands never gets caught in the cookie jar. He soon became non-existent to us shortly after my ninth birthday. I would soon find out how hard he fought against not being apart of his baby girl’s life. Oh yeah who am I?
