TianaMarie was born amid the cold and snow of Milwaukee, WI. She went to school in the rough and tumble neighborhood of the near northside and then moved to an even colder Minneapolis, MN where she gave birth to two children and struggled with an ever growing drug addiction. Moving to Las Vegas, NV where she still resides, TianaMarie buried her mother, became a grandmother and began the long journey down the road to recovery.
TODAY I Have words is an easy to read, illustrated book of 126 pages of poetry that springs from these life experiences of the author.

I have a different sound, a different feel, a different style and this need to fulfill. Sometimes I’m quiet, sometimes I’m shrill, but I feel it’s my destiny to try and instill,
the thoughts, the feelings, the message my passion invokes,
to give your heart some beats, to give your flesh some strokes.
I have this message, so passionate in me, I want you to feel it, to hear it, to see: the color of love, the taste of hope, the aroma of compassion.
Blanket yourself with tenderness, make empathy your designer fashion.
But it wasn’t always like this, this gift of words was a secret hidden.
Although I’d started writing at ten, the decision to start sharing came sudden. One day I opened up my mouth; it was like the Devil jumped straight from the abyss, and I seared him, I burned him, I charred him and spurned him, it all started with a piece like this . . .
