“Is anyone offering any sensible advice here?” Jack was startled to hear how plaintive he sounded.
“I can hear a humming noise now,” Gerry said, his attention back on the trailer. “Sounds happy enough.” He looked ruefully at his watch. “Back on set, everyone?” No one answered him, which wasn’t surprising. The whole production schedule followed the stars’ moods, and not always with good results. A glance at Gerry Geraldo’s clipboard would have shown very few dollars left in the budget.
“Is it like singing? Does Grady sing?” Quinn gazed hopefully at Jack. “We could do a re-run of "Seven Pumps for Seven Peckers".”
“No, it’s like something mechanical…”
“It’s a new sex toy!” Quinn grinned with glee. “Now I remember, a parcel came for him the other day, but he wouldn’t open it in front of me.”
“That’s because you’re a nosy little creep,” Luca hissed.
“New toy?” Jack felt cold sweat spring up on the back of his neck. “But we’ve tried them all. When the samples come through, we always take a look together. Together.” He caught Quinn’s pitying expression and Luca’s raised eyebrows, and he frowned again. Did he seem that pathetic?
“Hey Jack,” Luca said. “Enough with the kicked puppy look, right?”
“Right.” Obviously he did.
Quinn snickered. “And you take just a look? I doubt that. What about the Vibrating Pleasure Probe?”
Jack knew Quinn was provoking him, but he couldn’t stop the blush from creeping up his neck. “Okay, yes. We tried it.” Grady was always so adventurous….
“The Robo Suck 2?”
Jack nodded. “That, too.”
“The Robo Suck 3 that giggles?”
“That one did me!” Gerry’s attention had obviously drifted to more personal memories.
“I was sure we’d done them all.” Jack ignored Quinn’s voyeuristic eye-rolling. “Even that special offer last month of Buy One, get Six Free.”
“Ohh! Ohh!! Seven!!!” Quinn struck a pose. “I was a perfect Ernst Blow-Well in that movie, wasn’t I, Gerry?”
“Did all of them,” Jack repeated. His blushing made him feel uncomfortably hot. “Several times.”
“So did I,” Luca said, though presumably his mind was on the movie rather than Jack’s erotic memories. “A bunch of over-enthusiastic extras, if I remember rightly. "Twelve Horny Men", Gerry called them.”
“Gerry?” Quinn persisted. “Wasn’t I perfect?”
The director grimaced. “Perfect, Quinn. Shaken but not stirred.”
