Nolan’s eyes opened wide. “I’m not killing him!” he said through gritted teeth.
“You are one of us now. You are part of this war. They are Toltec and in a war there are casualties. You need to do your part,” Daniel responded.
Nolan slammed his fist into his palm as his eyes burned into Daniel. “I’m not killing anyone here! These people have done nothing to me. They are innocent and passive. I really don’t care about your freaking Akkadian ways, and if this is what you people do, then I don’t want any part of your war!”
“Are you sure?”
“Very freaking sure!” Nolan blurted.
Daniel said, “There is a war going on and…”
“I am not a cold-blooded killer!”
Daniel looked at Germaine and then a wry smile came across his lips as he turned back to Nolan. “That is good.”
