Great urban fantasy.
This was an awesome book. It reminded me of Edward Lee's "Infernal" books. If you love books that involve the underworld and the internal struggle of good vs evil and the age old problem of power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely than you will love this book. If I could give it 6 stars I would. I'm reading the second book in the series right now and it is also really good. Check out this series, you won't regret it.

So glad we bought all three books for our library!
Joe did an author signing at the 50th anniversary celebration of our library and I am SO glad we purchased all three books he's written in The Damnation Chronicles series! I finished The Damned after reading well into the night- I could not put it down! Loved it! I am now reading the second book Redemption- I see another late night ahead... I recommend these books to any lovers of dark fantasy!

The Damned: Damnation Chronicles has an outstanding storyline with well-executed characters and ambiance. I had read Hell 101 by Joseph Sweet so was excited to order this book by him... I was not disappointed and cannot wait for the next installment in the series.
