"I was fading in and out of consciousness. The blackness at the edges of my vision was closing in.
"What have you done to me, Jocelyn?" I murmured.
My vision clouded over, and my mind went blank. I did not hear what she said, I was too far gone. I felt as she brought my head to her neck, and I felt my teeth pierce the thin layer of skin.
As her last act of contrition, she gave me her blood, and in accepting her blood for the second time, my fate was decided. This is where my story truly begins."
