This book is a mix of personal experience and self-help. It is one woman's history of living with anxiety and then panic attacks for many years. Ellen Dean tells how she researched back through her life and found the reason why she suffered these debilitating symptoms, and what she has done to alleviate them. In this book she shares her findings in the hope it may help you or someone close to you.
Anxious, depressed, sweating, dizzy, constantly fearful of when the next panic attack will come along? Yep, been there, got the t-shirt, and even made videos of my experiences. Now, here's the book. In my research I found the reason why my panic/anxiety started and wanted to share this information with you. I do hope my findings will help you to help yourself.

Interest and presence of mind
I found Anxiety Panic Attacks by Ellen Dean helpful and enjoyable. It must be read with curiosity, interest and presence of mind because it’s too easy to imagine you’ve ‘seen this sort of book before,’ and skim, scan or just glance at its contents without taking them in properly.
But it is worth taking your time over it. It gives useful, easy-to-read information about what can alleviate anxiety and fend off panic attacks. This ranges from understanding the condition through reading about someone else’s experience to giving useful medical and dietary information. An important message is that with mindfulness we can learn to switch off worry and switch on our presence in the actual world, turning the irrational burden of what if into acceptance of what is.
It also has an interesting chapter about empathy, an aspect of anxiety which I had never thought about before.
Definitely order it. If anxiety is not an issue for you, you will find wanting to share it with loved ones for whom it is.
Someone you can trust, someone you can believe in
I've personally suffered with anxiety and panic attack for over 7 years now and it's nice to finally read a book by someone who has been there, got the T shirt and is now passing on some really useful tips and techniques. The book is incredibly easy to read and I found myself coming back to it as a reference piece many times. I trust the book and the author because I know what it feels like to live your life in fear but I also know that we can fight it and with some really simple and easy changes in our lives we can overcome our anxiety and start to feel like us again. At this price it's a steal and well worth checking out just for the friendly advice. I've taken a lot on board and now use a lot, if not all of the techniques mentioned in here. Read it, use it and share it.
