Who was Diego Ramirez? Better known as ‘The Bull,’ it was for sure that he’d built a rather savory reputation as a cold hearted killer, but it wasn’t without mental reckoning. Though it really changed nothing, Diego did have regrets.
It was during his visit home that he learned of his brother’s death. Esteban had been the total opposite of his outlaw brother. He’d been a renowned historian, who shared his life with his wife, but Candice really knew little about his work.
Tobias Gintry was loyal to the cause; and he did what the ‘society’ told him. It was Tobias who had confronted Esteban, ultimately causing his death when Esteban refused to give up the unique document the society needed. With the document in hand, and with Esteban’s urging, Candice escaped, but it became a run for her life.
Diego and Candice never really liked each other, but he was the only person she could turn to. She’d been accused of killing her husband, and was now sought by the police. When Diego learned of his brother’s death, he took Candice under his wing; and with his soul filled with vengeance, he went after his brother’s killer, taking down the society member in the process.
This book is filled with action and violence, from the street savvy, to suited hitman. There’s a lot of detail to this story with many different characters through the plot of the underworld. It’s a great read for action lovers.
