“I’ll get answers out of you eventually, Isabel.”
Lord, he was persistent. Give him some hope then continue to whittle away. “I am quite sure you will but not this eve.” She gracefully smoothed her skirts, lowered her voice—hid behind her lashes. “I’ll not ask again. Share with me, Devin. I would really like to know what disturbs you so.”
Devin’s low chuckle warmed her insides. “You think to get answers from me by flirting? Good luck, lass. I invented that method.”
Isabel’s eyes flew to his. Insolence! She almost faltered at the devilish twinkle in his gaze, the languid way his come-hither eyes roamed her face. Indeed, he did flirt well. She squelched the lop-sided grin she felt beginning to erupt. “I see no reason for your secrecy.” Isabel again leaned close and whispered in her best co-conspirator tone, “Then you really are a spy.”
His thick-lashed eyes fell to her lips and he leaned closer as well. “In my own way, that is exactly what I am.”
Now she was getting somewhere. “Ah, I knew it.”
“Did you?” His gaze slowly slid down her neck and she’d swear his finger grazed the soft skin. Goose pimples rose on her flesh.
“Yes, I did.” She continued to follow his gaze, could almost feel how he saw her…feminine…enticing. “It makes perfect sense.”
“Aye.” Devin’s gaze fell to the swells of her breasts peeking out from the top of her dress. “You found me out.”
A deep inhale, then he exhaled slowly, his hot breath flaming across her chest. Nipples tightened. Searing warmth flooded between her thighs. Isabel inhaled sharply. His eyes met hers, knowing. How did he do that? What exactly had he done without moving an inch?
“What did I find out?” she murmured, her mind swimming in pleasure, relaxed, not nearly as sharp as it had been moments before.
A ravishing grin crinkled the corners of his eyes, made enticing sweeps of his dark eyelashes. “That I’m not quite who I seem to be.”

Loved It!
The Georgian Embrace continues the tale of Calum’s curse that began in The Victorian Lure. This time it is Cousin Devin O’Rourke’s turn to battle an unknown monster. He spies a beautiful young woman’s ghostly image in a photograph sent to him and is intrigued by her. Upon arriving at the Georgian home his cousin Andrea had bought, the ghost hunter finds himself face to face with the beautiful Isabel Savol’s ghost. The Georgian holds many secrets and Devin finds himself pulled back in time to the building of the great house. There he meets Isabel in the flesh. Together they travel through time and battle the beast that has been stalking Isabel for more than 300 years.
I highly recommend this fast paced, intriguing tale!

Having been introduced to Devin as the light-hearted tender day to Leathan's intense and brooding night in Victorian Lure; I was tickled pink to get the chance to read him in his own story by way of Georgian Embrace.
Just as in Victorian Lure, the setting involves a beautiful home, shifting time periods, a mysterious and beautiful woman but...
unlike Leathan's story, instead of a vamp there is a baddie of a furrier sort after Isabel.
That's right people. This one's for the werewolf lovers.
Once again Sky Purington manages to transport readers through time and space with her imaginative sojourns through the looking glass and in to the world of Romantic Fantasy. Having read the first of her offerings in this series, I have had to revise my labeling of her work as Paranormal Romance.
The reason for this being that the characters that this author pens are reminiscent of the fairytales of childhood in tone and setting, though the content is clearly adult.
Ok...back to the story.
Ever the romantic, Devin finds himself on the hunt for the beautiful Isabel after she appears to him in a photo.
After searching for her, he finds her (or should I say her ghost) in the house that his cousin Andrea just bought.
That is when things really start to get interesting. I can't give too much away, but let me just say that I thought that the romance between Leathan and Dekota was hot, but they have nothing on Devin and Isabel.
This story makes it really clear who the dark horse and the white knight are and it is very easy to pick a side, whereas in Victorian Lure the playing field was a little muddy and you had to wait things out a bit to to see who was who.
There is also a lot more magic in this story compliments of wizards and warlocks.
That's right, everything I said before and magic too.
I am curious to know if Andrea is going to get her own book in the series. She has been in the first two books and I would love to see a tale woven around her.

This is book two in Ms. Purington's Calum's Curse series, and I think this is a series that is best read in order to gain full enjoyment.
Devin O'Rourke is the one of the descendants of Calum, and he has inherited wizard powers that thrust him into an adventure that will test him. Isabel is his feminine match and she is a strong woman from time's past.
As with the first book in the series, The Georgian Embrace is a wild, twisty ride for both the characters and the reader. Devin and Isabel time travel from the past to the future and back while they seek to escape the enemy set on destroying them.
Devin is a fun-loving man who loves to cook, but he changes and becomes more serious as he faces the werewolf enemy. Isobel is a complex character. Sometimes she's a ghost and at other times she's a flesh and blood woman. Both keep secrets from each other in the hope of keeping the other safe. Full trust takes time, but gradually the complex layers are peeled back and the exciting conclusion reached.
The Georgian Embrace is another excellent instalment in Ms. Purington's Calum's Curse series.
