Love and Chocolate

Have you ever felt yourself craving something inside,
like chocolate? Imagine that you have tasted chocolate,
but for some reason you have suppressed the memory.
You smell it and look at it and see others who love it and
cherish it. But for some strange reason, you are afraid to
try it. You find yourself dreaming about it, obsessing
about it, looking at others who seem to be blessed by
having it in their lives. But you can't break down and
allow yourself to experience it.

Chocolate is everywhere on TV, at the checkout
stand, you find it everywhere you turn. You search your
mind but you can't figure out how you could be so
obsessed with chocolate and yet terrified to give it a try.

A Taste of Euphoria

Finally you decide you have to try it out and you break
down, euphoria fills your soul as you over indulge your
senses. The next day you feel sick and depressed as suppressed memories begin to flood your awareness. Vague
images fill your mind and haunt you, vows made as a child
never to open yourself up to this experience again. The
pain is too much, so you retreat back into the familiar
comfort of your cloak of denial and shut down.

Yes love and chocolate can bring euphoria in one
moment and sink you to the very depths of your deepest,
darkest pits the next. As you move through your fears
