I got the impression that while strangers of every ilk are common here during festival season, winged reptiles are not. They flew off that way." She turned a jerked a thumb over her left shoulder."We'll lure you a wild wyvern," he replied."It cannot be simple to capture a wyvern.""Both bravery and cleverness are required," he allowed."Ah! How auspicious, then, for I am quite clever at harnessing griffons. I've perfected a technique for getting the bit properly placed, even as the creature begins to squawk in protest.""That's good. However, in this instance I meant that I rely upon you for bravery. I already perfected a method. The most expedient way to capture a wyvern is to let it believe it is stalking, rather than being hunted itself."She blinked her milky orbs. "You're saying this method requires me to--""Serve as bait," he finished. Knock him on his ass, would she? Never again...at least not without first weighing the price of her rash actions.

Each story in the anthology transports the reader to a vivde setting with strong characters. The authors have done a wonderful job of creating stories I'll reread many more times.
