Ofelia Fox and Rosa Sanchez, partners for nearly 45 years shared their lives and creative projects, including radio, TV, short movie scripts and now a book. Cuba patria en lagrimas y el Mensaje de Liansu is a diary of the first wave of Cuban political refugees thru the daily radio commentaries broadcast live by Ofelia Fox (Liansu) thru WMIE, now known as La Cubanisima, from Miami, Florida. The book, 391 pages of emotionally charged prose includes 16 pages of pictures and a second edition of Ofelia's 1961 book Cuba patria en lagrimas. The 2007 Miami International Book Fair invited Rosa Sanchez to introduce this book and the Instituto Internacional de Periodismo has nominated it for an award. Ofelia Fox also co-authored Tropicana Nights, the life and times of the legendary Cuban nightclub.
