Dear readers, this is my third book of poems, and inside are a special collection of what have turned out to be not only MY personal favorites, but also the favorites of many of YOU. Some of these have never been available in print before...
"As This World Winds Down" is a special collection of a dozen and a half of my best poems including "The Farmer's Hope", "When God Became A Baby", "Autumn Storm" as well as some of my earlier poems such as "The Tire Swing" and "Farewell To Snow". Bound in comb binding and printed on heavy durable stock, special features of this first edition of my book include family photos and illustrations of many original rough drafts.
If you enjoyed my books "Norwood Night And Other Poems" and "Opening Acts" you are sure to enjoy reading this work as well. One young lady after reading some of the poetry, ordered a copy to give as a gift to give to a mother to read to her children! These are poems for all ages to enjoy!
~ With love,
from a fellow human & poet,

Excerpt
On Heaven’s Street
When I loose my way amid
distractions in this life;
When my calm's drowned dim within
by daily war and strife;
When my legs cry out to quit,
refrain from finish line
When all seems lost, I see those eyes,
His eyes --- they carry mine!
Standing at the finish line, those
scarred wrists beckon me
to keep on keeping on until
His frankincense I breathe.
Until I bow with all I am
and clasp His punctured feet;
in Him I'll trust, to persevere
till home on Heaven's Street.
