This is a book of free verse poems that I wrote. The poems weave in and of many years of my life.
I was in a car accident 11 years ago and these are the trials of living in pain. I went to bed as a Nurse one night and the next day changed my whole life. The next day I woke up to severe pain in my back, that would never go away. These poems let you know how I felt, as I recovered from the car accident. You will see how I felt trying to care for three children and a husband while enduring tremendous pain. You will see how it felt to trust my children to the public school system, to find out that the system is broken. My husband worked 21 hours a day sometimes to keep a roof over our heads. The big chair sets in Thomasville, N.C. as a joke. Thomasville furniture is now made overseas.
