Dare to be different!
Stand on the word of the Lord for restoration and reconciliation of your family.
It would be so very easy to move onto the next person, believing the lie that God won’t mind if you divorced your situation. But, let me tell you, Moses allowed the children of Israel to divorce because he understood their hardness of heart.
Matthew 19:8
Jesus replied, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.
We who stand on the word of God for restoration of our families call ourselves “Standers”. I first became a Stander when my second child began to run away from home and do various other things not of God.
I am now standing for the restoration of my marriage.
My spiritual twin, Denise, and I met because we were both seeking prayer for our marriages. It was her testimony of restoration that led to the “God Hates Divorce” forum. We chose that name for the forum because it was the title of her prayer request. The numbers of responses were great, so we kept it for ease of use.
This devotional is dedicated to the standers on this forum who daily lift us up in prayer. Please know that this devotional is different from any you’ve read before, in that we have chosen to stand on the WORD of God for the seeming impossible.
Mark 10:27
Jesus looked at them and said, "With human beings this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."
I admonish you to search the scriptures for yourself. Seek the Father’s wisdom for yourself. In this world, you will find many books and internet sites that will speak positively about what ever stance you chose to take, some even twist scripture. We say, choose to be different, stand on the word of God for restoration of your family.
Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
When two men hit the reset button and decide to go out looking for the good in the world, they not only find it but also a lot more.
