One of the oldest of his kind, Rhys Morgan spends his nights out on the streets of Chandler in a constant battle to keep the Abyss’ fugitive demons from making the people in his town part of their all-you-can-eat human buffet.
When one of the humans he fights so hard to keep safely ignorant dashes right into the thick of that battle, Rhys doesn’t know whether she is incredibly brave, or incredibly stupid, only that he can’t get her out of his head—or his dreams—and that both of their lives are about to get a lot more...complicated.
Amy is powerless against the dark, mysterious, supremely sexy man who stirs her passions like no other, but she is cautious too. The barriers between them are almost as thick and strong as the evil that threatens them.

“Thanks for bringing me home,” she said.
“No problem,” Rhys replied. He seemed to want to say something more, but didn't.
Amy stared at his mouth, wondering if he would kiss her again.
She really wanted him to kiss her again.
Deciding this was her night to flirt with danger, she didn’t wait for it, and instead went up on her toes, and smoothed her lips over his.
Jeez, he was tall.
Amy pressed her mouth against him lightly, cautiously, then he groaned and wrapped his arms around her, deepening her soft kiss into something more, something carnal and hot, and she tumbled into it, lost in her mounting desire.
Her arms clutching him, Amy found herself pressed against the wall of another building, but this time she reveled in the feel of the sharp stone at her back, and his hard strength pressing into her from the front. One muscled thigh moved between her legs, pressing up against her, and she gasped as her insides melted in response. His lips were traveling down the smooth column of her neck, along her jaw, licking the sensitive spot in the hollow of her collar bone, while his hand moved to cup one breast, kneading and shaping it to fit his palm, the other tangling itself in her hair, which tumbled loosely over her shoulders.
What had started as an impulse had quickly turned to a raging inferno, and she didn't care, had no intention of putting out the flames.

Fallen Angel Review
Rhys Morgan, an Immortal warrior, is in search of a specific demon, one who killed his former partner. Now he’s breaking in a new one who is proving to have more attitude than America does cars. He’s on his search one night when he runs into a demon and then into a beautiful woman who thinks he needs saving. A woman who has been featured prominently in the visions/dreams he’s been having.
Amy, a surgeon just getting off a long shift at the hospital where she works is regretting having walked to work. It’s dark and spooky out, and she’d rather be home curled up. She’s just wishing again that she’d taken her old, not-in-such-good-shape car when she hears something from down a dark alley. Without thinking, she dashes in and comes face to face with Rhys and the demon he is fighting.
This book grabs you from the beginning and never lets go. I know some will compare it to another series of popular paranormals, but I’m here to tell you, Ms. Coi hasn’t copied a thing. She’s created a race of Immortals with a method of transition that I found unique.
Rhys is everything you’d want in a wounded, bad boy hero. He thinks he’s incapable of feeling love any more, he knows getting her involved in his life is a bad idea and it is, but at the same time you root for him. You want him to admit he can still love someone, Amy and that while their life might be difficult, they can do anything together.
Amy is everything good about chic-lit with none of the bad. She’s feisty and wants to be in control of her life, but she too doesn’t believe she’s cut out for love, is afraid to love someone for fear they’ll be taken away.
The story plays out over the course of a couple of weeks with secondary characters that I loved. They were each individuals with their own personalities and quirks. I loved Baron and his arrogance. He epitomizes the young who think they know everything and are invincible. Of course, this young Immortal is smart enough to learn that he doesn’t and isn’t, but I won’t say anything more.
Amy and Rhys come close to losing everything, but My Immortal delivers the HEA that we all want from our romances, though I wasn’t sure for a while just how Ms. Coiwas going to pull it off. She did, however and, the way she did made the story all that much the better. And the epilogue is, well, it makes the story all the sweeter. But don’t get me wrong, there is plenty of heat in this story. Amy and Rhys have the kind of passion that few find and even fewer manage to keep.
Enjoy twists and surprising turns in this erotic collection of sexy love stories based on seven classic fairy tales. There are romantic interludes to touch your heart and plenty of scorching sex to warm your coldest nights.
