THE CHASE
“Christy! Christy! Wake up! Wake up!” Brad screamed at the top of his lungs, running towards her. “Talk to me so I can find you.”
Christy and Fluffy awakening from their deep sleep were startled by Brad’s urgent voice. Christy jumped to her feet and Fluffy started barking
“Where are you, Brad? I can’t see. It’s dark in here,” They both heard an ear splitting, “Grrrrowl,” that vibrated around and around the cave, bouncing off the walls.
“Ahhhhh!” They both screamed, in cold terror, as they turned and saw the bear just inches from Brads back coming straight at them.
“Brad, it’s a bear! A huge bear” screamed Christy in terror. “The bear is heading straight at us!” Christy froze! Fluffy jumped straight up into her arms. Christy by reflex held on to her dog.
“Run, Christy! Run for your life!” screamed Brad running towards Christy’s voice grabbing her hand as they both charged towards what they thought was the opening of the cave.
