This book leans heavily on book one for its characters and storyline. Volume one of the lovers follows Lorna and Peter through some of the early work in their now formalized D/s relationship and gives the characters a chance to state their feelings about the lifestyle and society’s attitudes towards it. We are introduced to Peter’s theory of consensual dominance and follow Lorna’s journey of self discovery and the trials and tribulations of that journey. Book one also introduces the other major characters in the story, Rob and his sub Val, Mary and her sub Mark as well as Paul, the local lifestyle guru and Peter’s mentor. While you can read this book with out reading book one much of the historical reference will be lost if you have not read book one.
This is the second in the series of The Lovers. It follows Lorna and Peter through the land deal, her return to work after summer break, the planning and execution of the wedding as well as several other major points.

She rose gently so as not to wake Peter and headed for the kitchen to make breakfast, the mornings were starting to get easier since she had a fairly strict regimen as to what Peter expected her to do and how he wanted it done.
