The first of a series of detective novels featuring Ce-Ce and Farai Chisango of the Dread Eye Detective Agency.
Uriah's Vengeance is an action packed novel about power, money, love and deceit, hate and crime, a syndrome affecting the emerging bourgeoisie class in Zimbabwe and other developing countries.
Ce-Ce and Farai are assigned by the wife of a wealthy businessman to protect him from a possible attempt on his life by an extortionist. Despite their efforts, he is brutally murdered in one of his homes and they have to find his killer. Clues point to a quest for revenge for a terrible wrong dating back to Zimbabwe’s war for independence.
However as the sister and brother duo uncover the past, shocking discoveries suggest a motive much closer to the ethos of contemporary society; sheer avarice.

And, of course, Tilcor Industrial Estate.
Farai made his way towards the 4x4, all senses on the alert. He wondered where his sister was. Wherever it was, she was a damn lot safer than he
was. She was armed. She had not actually shot any one yet, but Farai knew from their frequent target
practice that Chenai Chisango was quite capable of bringing the Wild West on this peri-urban waste if
the need arose.
The vehicle looked abandoned, with one front door open. Farai edged closer, the sense of foreboding growing in him. Damn, where was Ce-Ce?
Farai, his heart racing, paused and strained his ears for the slightest hint of life. Deathly silence
mocked him, as did the rocks and boulders themselves. Gingerly, Farai peered through the open door. There was no one. He checked the back seat.
As he withdrew his head, he felt a hand on his shoulder. With a start, Farai jerked his head back, banging it against the vehicle….
