During a wild party with many guests at the studio of famous painter, Dos Ases (Alejandro Arce), his "intern" and general gover, David Zaretsky is found in the bathroom. He has been murdered. Everyone who knew David described him as being "slow" and since his parents run a  junkyard, it appears police aren't putting in a lot of time on this mystery. 

So David's parents, Bernard and Sophia Zaretsky, hire PI Jonas McCleary to investigate. David may have been "slow" but he was their only child and they loved him. They desperately need closure.

In this, his third outing, Jonas not only has to cope with the painter and his "models", a famous talk-show host and her "people" as well as a local godfather and his "crew" not to mention the massive Navajo, aptly named Sampson. 

Added to that Jonas has to cope with the kids' problems as school, as well as wife Roxie's desire to get back into the printing business. 

If Jonas hopes to bring closure to the Zaretskys and help Roxie get her business going, he's going to need every resource he can muster, and that of course, includes money. But above all, he has to stay alive.
