Poetry touches the soul, your intellect, brings out a language to enlighten, therefore if you love poetry, understand how it touches you, read through some bluntly said, some metaphorical but all true because life has various situations and I have learned that some people come into your life for a reason or a season.
We may not like how our life turns out or how things are but in reality, its Gods plan to strengthen you for what has to come. I believe until you realize your purpose in life this is just trials and tribulations because I see life as a Boomerang, what goes around comes around so treat life as it is, your ONE and ONLY chance to use wisely and make it work for you.

Yesterday i became the proud owner of juanita betts book 'desire my dreams poetry' after a few pages i realized this bright, talented and gifted sister has finally arrived. She has completed her full circle as she has come in one with mind, body and soul. When you read her words of struggle, sacrifice, commitment and accomplishments the feeling leaves you as though you have dined on a full course meal. Where did this writer get this information, her heart is so unconditional, so full of insight. Recommend this to anyone! A few titles I liked were Unique I am, Resurrection, Woman and Man to name a few.

This is an amazing book, you made me proud to be part of your reading environment this book is great!
The songs and art in this book are about our collective emergence after the pandemic and trauma of the last few years - comprised of 5 collections: World as Refuge, Where We Live, In Our Hands, Rhythms of Change and What We See & Sow.
