Libby tilted her head, then made the mistake of looking up into his face. His eyes were dilated and fixed on her lips. She froze. Ever so slowly, his head descended.
A tiny voice inside said, "Run," but her traitorous body wouldn't budge. Her mouth worked, though, "I don't kiss on the first date."
"That's fine, then, because as you said, this isn't a date." Ethan pulled her to him and, angling his head, took her in a kiss that began as a warm invitation. She reeled and actually stagggered backward as sensation shot thorugh her, riotous and out of control.
