Jeffrey and Tracey came from two different types of backgrounds, but destiny would have its way by placing these two together as one...but not without challenges, downfalls, and of course, enemies. Will their love be strong enough to endure the "skeletons", jealousy, and danger that they'd face? Well, once you've touched the heart, there could definitely be a chance.
Iris Bolling provided a traditional, thought provoking romance that touches the hearts of readers in various ways throughout the story. Tracy and Jeffery have the ability to captivate one's soul through their stories and roles. Once You've Touched the Heart was a fairytale with roller coaster twists and turns; a ride that will have your mind racing quicker than you can turn the pages!

True love can't be stopped no matter what opposition it faces

It's been a long time since I read a love story that tugged at my heart. Author Iris Bolling brings a story filled with heartache, envy, love, and suspense. This novel had me cheering for the main characters JD Harrison and Tracy Washington.

Jeffrey Daniel Harrison BKA JD is what every woman is looking to snag as a husband. He is good looking, charming, sexy and has a great job as an assistant District Attorney. What's the problem you ask? JD doesn't want to be married he is a player, a respectful one who will call you the next day to say he enjoyed your company. Don't me get wrong these women know what the deal is with JD they just all think they're the one who can make him settle down. There is one who makes him do a double take, that's Tracy Washington. They meet when she comes home with her roommate Ashley during spring break from collage. Ashley Harrison is JD's younger sister. The problem is with her being five years younger and his career taking off he feels she is "jailbait" and too career driven to take a chance with the younger woman. Tracey also feels for JD and feels rejected when he slows down their mutual connection. Tracy goes back to collage never to return, that is until six years later when a case JD is working on brings the two together again and thus the drama begins.

These two JD and Tracy have nothing but the upmost respect for one another and once they do begin their love affair, it seems the world is trying to break them up. I felt these two deserve to be together. JD ex's were coming out the woodwork to put a wedge between them, see if any of the plots are successful. JD's job also brings another element to the story. Family history can also destroy their happiness. With all that's going on this made for a delightful read. This could turn out either way you have to read to see what I'm talking about. All the characters in the book brought an element with them that was needed and work very well

I look forward for too more from this talented writer with a knack for words and plots. I can't wait to read the sequel it's more of a spin off as Ashley and her love interest James both of whom have time is this novel

When Jeffrey “JD” Harrison first met Tracy Washington, she was the college roommate of his younger sister. The effect she had on him was unsettling, but he considered her too young. Years later, they are reunited as JD takes a case, as the District Attorney, that involves her brother. This time he takes the role as Tracy’s protector and eventually, her lover. JD is a womanizer and Tracy has no experience in love, but, despite several odds, they manage to build a relationship that most folks only dream of.
I found it hard to believe this is the first effort by Bolling. ONCE YOU’VE TOUCHED THE HEART is very well-written with attention to detail. That may have been the only flaw with the novel since the minute details made for a lengthy book. Nevertheless, the characters are three-dimensional, the plot is well-developed and the action is non-stop. Readers may pick this one up thinking it is your average romance, but it is so much more. Bolling is following with a sequel, which I will be adding to my book pile.
