“Yes, June is very chatty,” Dr. Anders agreed. “Which makes my job easy.”
“What else did she say?” Hera asked, her face red with anger. Shallow but hard breaths were forced out of her flared nostrils due to June’s ravings. Hera wanted to make her own entrance, not have someone roll out a velvet red carpet.
“She mentioned,” Dr. Anders paused for a moment to grab Hera’s attention, “Raven.”
Hera’s heart jumped as if she had flung herself off the Brooklyn Bridge without the safety of a bungee cord. She believed or at least hoped that Dr. Anders did not just say what she perceived him to say.
“Say-say-say that again.”
“Raven,” Dr. Anders answered. He sat back and grinned at the one-word response. He could tell by the pause and fidgeting fingers that Hera was in a sort of psychological shock. He had every intention to speak with June over this matter but was more than pleased to see that Hera had made her way to the session.
“We had an agreement,” Hera said.
“Who? You and June or you and…”
“Hell yeah me and June. I mean June and I!” Hera yelled. “Neither, and I mean neither one of us were supposed to mention Raven. Ever.”
“Why?”
“What did she say?”
“I want to hear it from you. Who is Raven Dalk-Hawthorne?”
